Introducing: The French Onion Burger!

It took me a long time to perfect this recipe, but I think I finally have it.  As a gift to all of you I am letting you in on the secret of the best hamburger ever!  Merry Christmas, from Jennie's Kitchen!

You will need:
Ketchup
Mustard
Pickles (I prefer dill but you can use your favorite)
Tomato
Swiss Cheese
French Onion Gravy (Onion, water, butter, flour, beef bullion cubes).
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Hamburger
Lettuce
Mayonase
Hamburger Buns
Step 1:
French Onion Gravy

Chop one large onion.  Cook in a medium sauce pan on high for two minutes, stirring constantly.  Switch to medium heat.  Add two tablespoons of butter.  Stir frequently for eight minutes.  Add two tablespoons of flour, mix well.  Add two beef bullion cubes and two cups of water.  Return to high heat.  Bring to a boil.  Simmer for fifteen minutes.  Stirring occasionally.
Step 2:
Cooking the Hamburgers

While cooking the hamburger sprinkle on garlic, salt, and pepper.  When they are finished cooking add the french onion gravy and top with swiss cheese.  Cover so that the cheese melts.

Step 3:
Preparing the Buns

Toast buns.  On the bottom bun add a layer of mayonase, then a generous helping of lettuce (this will help the bread not to get soggy).  On the top bun add these items in this order: ketchup, mustard, pickles, tomato.  Then add to the hamburger with the gravy and cheese.  And......

There you have it.  The French Onion Burger, created by Jennie's Kitchen.  Enjoy!

Do you have a difficult time getting your family to eat vegetables?

Well, if you do here is a little secret that I use.  When you are making meat balls chop up vegetables to add to them.  Your children won't even notice! (Note: You may have to chop them up VERY small.)
